Welcome to Peters Canyon Elementary PTO

The Peters Canyon Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) serves as a liaison between the parents and teachers of Peters Canyon Elementary School with one common goal in mind - to assist in providing our children with the very best educational experience possible.

Our PTO was established to enhance cooperation between parents, teachers and administration so that we can all work together to ensure quality education and promote the welfare of our children. With the help of our amazing and generous families we have been able to aid in supplementing the academic curriculum by providing educational assemblies, field trips, scholarships for Outdoor Science School, art and music programs, educational aides and to continually ensure that our children are able to access current computer technology.

What does this mean to your family? It means that our PTO is continually looking for ways to enhance our children’s elementary education and create a welcoming atmosphere for all of our PCE families. We are there for you from the Kindergarten Aide thru 5th Grade Promotion. It also means that our principal has a place to turn when a job needs to be done.

The PTO is a hands-on organization, involved in many aspects of the educational process. Some of our jobs are not very glamorous such as making calls, helping at noon duty and organizing activities, but they all are integral parts of our great PTO. The rewards of these tasks are an organization that runs smoothly, parents that are well informed and students that have all the advantages that a community can provide.

The key to keeping our PTO a successful organization is the involvement of the entire school community. For some families it simply means supporting our fundraisers. For others, it means working in the classrooms, the library, chairing a committee or serving on the Board. Your time and energy are our greatest assets.
